Incident in Cowlersley - Principal's letter to parents
7th September 2017
Incident in Cowlersley on 6th September 2017
Many of you will have heard about the abhorrent incident that happened in Cowlersley yesterday at approximately 3.40pm. The incident involved some older youths, not from the school, and one of our Year 11 students. I am always saddened to hear about violent incidents and wanted to reassure you that the School will never tolerate or condone violent or aggressive behaviour.
I am working with the Police and the Community to understand what happened and why. I have asked for a Police presence at the beginning and end of the school day so that you know that your son/daughter is safe when outside of our school perimeter.
If your son/daughter has been affected by this disgraceful incident, please let us know using the email address; email@example.com. We have a trained Counsellor in our ‘Wellbeing Centre’ and other professionals who are available to help if necessary.
The Police are investigating this incident and I would encourage anyone with any relevant information to contact them directly on 101, quoting log 1077 or 1010.
As always, I will keep you informed but please feel free to contact me or your son/daughter’s Achievement Co-ordinator if required.
Mr J Christian
